The Fenwick Pendant is a single broad disc drawn up and folded back on itself, so that what would be a flat shade becomes a curve with an opening at one side. The outer face is finished in matte black, the inner in warm brass, and the two are seen together wherever the fold turns. Within the opening sits a globe of alabaster, lit from inside so the stone glows softly against the brass.
The Fenwick suits a room with height to give it. Hung above a low table in a sitting room, over the turn of a sofa, or singly in a hallway where its profile can be read from the side, it is a piece with a distinct silhouette rather than a quiet one. The brass lining throws warmth downward while the black outer face keeps the fitting reading as a shape against a pale ceiling.
Every globe is cut from natural stone, so no two are marked quite alike.
